The Plant High Rowing Club is an interest club that allows its members to participate in the sport of rowing through a separate non-profit organization called Plant High Rowing Association (PHRA). PHRA hires coaches, organizes team practices and participates in competitive regattas, all funded via fees collected from its participating rowers. The Plant High Rowing Club and PHRA work together to introduce rowing to students and provide a strong community that fosters character, growth and friendship. All PHS students are welcome! More information on the club can be found at www.planthighrowing.com (linkon left).
Club dues for the 2009-2010 school year are $20 and cover club T-shirt, yearbook ad, recruitment, updated bulletin board and end-of-the-year banquet. To join, please complete the application (link on left), include $20 cash or check payable to ‘Plant High School’ and deliver to Ms Tait:
at the first PHRA parent-athlete meeting in September
at the first Student Club Day meeting
in Room 11B
in Box #43 in the school office
NOTE: The PHRA requires that all rowers be members of the Rowing Club as this allows the team to compete in scholastic regattas. Failure to join the club may jeopardize a rower's ability to compete. Please contact Ms Tait (contact information listed on right) or Coach Abel (CoachAbel@PlantHighRowing.com) with any questions.
